Alopecia Hair Loss is something that can happen for many different reasons. Hair loss of any type can be very stressful as most people are concerned with their looks and how other people perceive them. Because the hair on a person's head is one of the first things that other people notice about them, any hair loss can lead to a stressful situation.
Alopecia Hair Loss is not always something that you have to put up with, however, as there are many reasons why it could happen. Here are some of the main Causes of Alopecia Hair Loss and some solutions to some of the problems.

The most common Cause of Alopecia Hair Loss is also known as male pattern baldness. This is a problem that occurs in both men and women, typically in their 20s. The hair line will recede from the temples and back to the crown and form an M shaped pattern in the scalp.
There has been much research done into the possibility of getting hair to grow back when male pattern baldness is a problem. At this time, cosmetic surgery is really the only viable option although there are some prescriptions and natural cures that some have used with limited success.
Another type of hair loss is known as Alopecia Areata. This is a problem with the autoimmune system in which it attacks the hair follicles as if it were a foreign body. Because the human body is programmed to not be invaded by anything, it will cause these follicles to fallout leaving behind what are typically circular soft bald spots.
It is very uncommon for this balding to spread to the entire area of the head, although about 1% of the people that experience this difficulty go completely bald. Some people use steroids, administered by a doctor, in order to help with this problem. Other than that, it typically goes away in about a year on its own.
One final type of Alopecia Hair Loss is known as traction alopecia. This condition is caused by the hair being pulled away from the scalp. This is usually because of the way the hair is worn, such as ponytails and tight buns are two examples.
